Jackie has been writing, and involved with marketing, advertising, public relations, promotions, entertainment and tourism in Las Vegas for 35 years. At Fierro Communications, she writes copy for clients’ websites, social media ads, releases, etc.

As a writer, she is a published Las Vegas / Laughlin columnist, and her articles have appeared in national magazines and newspapers. Her love of Las Vegas was captured in the “Fabulous Las Vegas” coffee table book published by Beautiful America Publishing Company.

Jackie spent 13 years with the Nevada Commission on Tourism, opening the branch office in Las Vegas in 1976. During her tenure, she wrote for “Nevada Magazine,” wore many hats including motorsports manager and domestic tour and travel manager, and was recognized with numerous awards including the Women of Achievement Award in Tourism by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. She sat on the American Bus Association’s national committees for six years and earned a CTIS – Certified Travel Industry Specialist accreditation.

Jackie has worked as director or manager of advertising and marketing departments at numerous Las Vegas properties including Circus Circus, Silver City, Sahara Hotel and Casino, Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino and Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon.

Jackie is a graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Las Vegas program and Metropolitan Police Department’s Citizens Academy. Her degree in communications is from the University of Illinois. She is a native of Chicago.
